Mitchell Hawley is an artist and illustrator. Originally from the Midwest, he has lived in Seattle, Portland, East Texas, Austin, and now resides in Western North Carolina.
He is an illustrator passionate about visual storytelling, mood, and character design. In Austin, Texas he was active in the local SCBWI chapter and took online courses through MATS for children's book illustration. While in Texas he was involved in the local art community and pop-up markets, painted a mural for a local elementary school and contributed as a rotoscope animator for the feature film Quantum Cowboys (2021), starring Lily Gladstone. Currently, he studies 2D animation as a New Media Major at the University of Asheville, North Carolina, while working for a nonprofit supporting adults with IDD.
